The Greater Kansas City Art Association is a non-profit art organization that has actively promoted the appreciation of visual arts in the Kansas City area since 1956. Started by a group of local artists, GKCAA functions to bring together artists in the Kansas City region for an exchange of ideas and techniques, and to provide an opportunity for artists to approach the public as a unified group of professionals. With over two hundred members working in almost every media, GKCAA has been a respected art club for over 50 years. Many of the members are nationally known, award winning artists, and also we welcome new talent in any stage of their career.

The club meets once a month, and hosts several shows each year. Meetings are informative and fun, and include guest speakers, demonstrations, critique sessions and our monthly “Blue Ribbon” art competition.

GKCAA wants to share with the public the enjoyment and excitement of the visual arts in this region. The services and activities of GKCAA are available to all persons regardless of race, color, creed, ethnic background or religious affiliation.

This is an art club in the Kansas City area supporting visual artists of all kinds. If your are interested in visiting the club, please see the “Visit Us” like for directions to our monthly meetings. We look forward to seeing your art!
